Common questions

What's the best layer height for the A1?
0.16mm is the sweet spot for most PLA prints — visibly better finish than the 0.20mm default, without the print-time cost of 0.12mm. See the full PLA settings guide.
Why does my A1 print string so much?
Almost always wet filament or a temperature that's slightly too high. Walk through the stringing fix guide before touching retraction settings.
What bed temperature should PLA use on the A1?
Bambu's own default (65°C for PLA Basic) runs hotter than most PLA needs and can cause warping on small parts — see the bed temperature guide.
Are PETG settings different from PLA on the A1?
Yes, significantly — lower cooling fan, slower speed, and a narrower temperature window. See the PETG settings guide.
Should I use Cura instead of Bambu Studio for the A1?
